OPERATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Veneration’s approach to operating funeral homes and cemeteries is centered on people first.  Current owners and staff intimately know the community they serve.  They know how best to promote local traditions.  In short, the team are experts in providing memorable and respectful experiences to families at a time of high emotions.

Veneration relies on the current team to continue to manage daily tasks and maintain the positive relationship with the community being served.  In our minds, the team, the people serving others, is the ultimate brand.  It would be foolish to implement inappropriate changes that run counter to the expertise of those that have already proven what works best.

What we provide to localized management and staff is a menu of resources and advanced capabilities.  Teams are introduced to these various competencies and decisions are made as to which ones should be employed to first strengthen core operations and thereafter be adopted to ensure continual improvement is taking place.  Localized management and staff lead these processes knowing that we expect them to deliver services to the people in the community as if they were the owners.  We absolutely want them to feel that they own their work.

Ultimately, these practices and mindsets mold and develop a culture, a people first way of doing things, that motivates current employees and attracts talented new ones.  A lot of people count on our services, expect our approach to be caring and dignified and demand excellence in delivering the experience.  We know that the best way to meet these expectations is through our people.  In fact, it is the only way.
